CENTER FOR STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP (CSL)
This funding primarily supports programs that play a critical part in the USAWC education of students, across many courses and Army programs. They generally are political-military decision-making exercises or experiential events designed to provide students an opportunity to engage with and learn from strategic leaders and staffs as they integrate and apply knowledge acquired in the USAWC core curriculum. This funding also helps support events that bring senior leaders from other organizations and agencies to discuss critical issues, e.g. homeland security, international strategic crises, etc., and provide direction on events that are currently affecting national security. There is also modest funding support in this program for the Strategic Leader Seminars I and II, Basic Strategic Art Program, Executive Leader Course, Combined and Joint Force Land Component Commander’s Course, and International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Exercises.
