ARMY STRATEGIC EDUCATION PROGRAM

The United States Army established the Army Strategic Education Program (ASEP) in 2016 to manage the General Officer Education Program for Regular Army, Army Reserve and National Guard officers. ASEP is to reduce redundancy of program courses through convegence and formalize selection and attendance to meet both Army and officer requirements: Putting the right offer in the right course at the right time.

ASEP plans, coordinates, and executes Professional Military Education for the entire population of Army General Officers across the total force. The program executes rigorous mandatory education of over 400 General Officers annually, through five core courses attended at key milestones in the careers of our GOS: ASEP- Basic; ASEP – Advanced; ASEP – Senior, and ASEP – Transition. Coordinators and funds attendance to additional courses executive by Army, Joint, International, corporations, and civilian institutions of higher education.

ADVANCED STRATEGIC ART PROGRAM (ASAP)
Army Leader Day focuses attention on leadership issues at the strategic level.

ARMY LEADER DAY
Created in 2016, ASEP plans, coordinates, and executes Professional Military Education for the entire population of Army General Officers across the total force.

ARMY STRATEGIC EDUCATION PROGRAM
The U.S. Army War College and CSA Senior Army Fellows represent the Army in 54 programs worldwide.

ARMY WAR COLLEGE FELLOWS
The Carlisle Scholars Program (CSP) integrates the seminar experience of traditional Professional Military Education with the autonomy of a self-directed fellowship.

CARLISLE SCHOLARS PROGRAM (CSP)
The Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL)’s areas of emphasis are experiential education, Senior Leader education, support to Army Senior Leader research, and support to both U.S. Army War College and Army Senior Leader strategic communication efforts.

CENTER FOR STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP (CSL)
This rigorous elective program centers on current and provocative books and critical reasoning.

COMMANDANT’S READING PROGRAM
Corporate and defense industry leaders share insights and experiences that enhance the students’ understanding of the defense acquisition and support systems.

INDUSTRY DAY
Each year, approximately 80 senior international officers are invited to attend the U.S. Army War College.

INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS PROGRAM
The USAWC Military Family Program focuses on the spouses and families of the current class, as well as spouses and families of USAWC graduates who deployed after graduation.

MILITARY SPOUSE & FAMILY PROGRAM
Includes post-doctoral fellows, visiting professors, and research assistants to contribute to the teaching mission.

FACULTY AUGMENTATION
PKSOI participates actively with the War College to provide the Army's future senior leader with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to plan, conduct and assess P&SO missions and to integrate P&SO doctrine, concepts and policy into Army strategy and operational missions.

PEACEKEEPING AND STABILITY OPERATIONS INSTITUTE (PKSOI)
Funding is used for honoraria, course preparation, and supporting academic events related to the full scope of the USAWC's core curriculum.

PROVOST’S AND DEAN’S PROGRAMS
This program supports various events that enhance the current academic year classes, both Resident and Distance Education.

SPECIAL EVENTS SUPPORT
The Strategic Studies Institute hosts events and roundtables each year which support the Institute’s Academic Engagement Programs.

STRATEGIC STUDIES INSTITUTE (SSI)
An online journal with high-quality, concise, thought-provoking articles covering diverse topics.
