As the Director of Officer Personnel Management Directorate (OPMD) at Fort Knox, Kentucky, to highlight a few areas, my OPMD Team has been involved in identifying the Army’s officer population with medical specialties. This information is in support of the Army’s Surgeon General and Army’s Senior Leadership to deploy in response to COVID-19 hot-spots — in support of FEMA and interagency partners. This OPMD Team is also involved in reviewing personnel and information related to retiree recalls for the COVID-19 response; and this Team is also working directly with Soldiers and Families that may have a hardship and cannot move to new duty assignments because of COVID-19.
