The Army War College Foundation Scholarship program is open to any student who is:

1) either a high school senior headed to college in the fall of 2024, or a college student in the first three years of undergraduate study

and who is also

2) either a child of a Lifetime member of the Army War College Foundation, or a child of a Distance Education graduate of the U.S. Army War College

and who has not

3) previously received a scholarship from the Army War College Foundation.

All valid applications will be evaluated by an impartial committee with no relationship to any of the applicants, and the applications will be evaluated “in the blind” (names removed).

The four scholarships funded by the Distance Education 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 classes will be awarded to children of Distance Education graduates (from all USAWC class years) regardless of the parent's Foundation membership.  All other Foundation scholarships will be awarded to children of Foundation Lifetime members including children of Distance Education students & graduates who are Foundation Lifetime members.

The application form and process are the same for all scholarships; each applicant will automatically be considered for all for which he/she is eligible.  The final number and amounts of the Foundation scholarships awarded will be determined after all applications are received and evaluated.  Scholarship awards will range from $500 - $1500.

Please read the descriptions under each question/section of the application carefully and follow the directions.  Note that the School Activities, Service & Community Activities, Work, and Honors sections should only include content back to August 2020.  The Education section is not date limited.

Completed applications must be submitted by March 4, 2024, midnight, Eastern Time.  Applications started but not actually submitted by the deadline will not be considered.  This online form is the only means to apply.

Foundation staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to answer questions or to assist with application submission problems.  No deadline extensions will be granted to applicants who have problems submitting applications after 4:00 pm, Eastern Time, on the final day for submissions.  Mailed or emailed applications will not be accepted.

Winners and non-winners will be notified no later than May 1, 2024 via email sent from scholarship@usawc.org.  Please check your SPAM folder if it is after May 1 and you have not received an email with the results.
