I’m in the Tennessee ARNG working Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA). Just finished working tornado relief and rolled into COVID-19 response before the tornado cleanup was done. Tornado debris removal was in Putnum and Wilson counties. We are assisting the Department of Health with drive-through testing, screening at multiple facilities, and managing PPE donation collection points at our armories. We are prepping for multiple BPT missions like prison and hospital support and security. As the 117th MP BN CDR, I have troops supporting three of these missions. As the Brigade Rear CDR, I have Soldiers supporting four of these missions. As the Deputy G3 for Tennessee, I am working support and/or planning for all these missions. LTC Steve Turner is also enrolled in DDE ‘20 and his Brigade is currently working COVID response.
