BG Amos Parker, Assistant Adjutant General – Army, Mississippi National Guard (MSNG), is involved in the ongoing battle against COVID-19. Soldiers are responding to promote safety and wellness through logistical, transportation, and assistance support during COVID-19 on-site testing, and where needed across the state for other emergency operations due to two devastating storms in April resulting in extensive loss of life and damage to property. He and the MSNG are working in coordination with the Governor’s COVID-19 State Task Force, supporting the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and other agencies, while also providing for the health and safety of men and women in uniform, their families, and the communities in which they serve.
