Alumni Hall & Park – Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to donate $1000 in a single donation to receive the bronze medallion?
No, a lump sum donation of $1000 is not required. You can designate periodic gifts to the Alumni Hall and Park add up to $1000, it will be our pleasure to mail your bronze medallion to you.
Can I also earn one of the $20,000 naming opportunities with periodic donations?
Yes, we will track all your Hall and Park donations and when they add up to $20,000, you will have earned a naming opportunity.
Does the $1000 I donated to earn the bronze medallion also count towards the naming opportunity?
Yes, it does. Every designated Alumni Hall and Park donation from you counts.
Can family members or classmates “go together” to qualify for a naming opportunity?
Yes, a family, a seminar, a class, etc. can have their donations identified with a particular naming opportunity. Notification to the Foundation of that intent is required so that the appropriate gifts can be “tracked” toward the desired naming opportunity.
If I choose a bench as a naming opportunity, can I request a specific location or area, e.g. Alumni Memorial, Alumni Park, or the Alumni Hall Patio?
Yes. On a first-come, first-served basis, requests for naming opportunities for benches in specific areas (at the Alumni Memorial, Alumni Park, or Alumni Hall Patio) can be honored.
How will I know if my gift qualifies for your special matching gift offer?
All Alumni Hall and Park donations that arrive prior to the groundbreaking (currently projected for September 2025) up to $500,000 qualify for the Board of Trustees matching gift. We will acknowledge in our official “thank you” that your donation qualified for that match.
If my donation qualifies for your special matching gift offer, does that help me qualify (meet the minimum required) for a bronze medallion or a naming opportunity?
No, your gifts stand on their own, but the matching gift doubles the support received by our Foundation, and you helped make that happen. Thank you!
