What Every Donor Needs to Know

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Army War College Foundation; all gifts to the Foundation are greatly appreciated.

The Army War College Foundation relies entirely on contributions in the form of cash, securities or other financial instruments from our constituents.  Private foundations, domestic and international corporations, alumni and friends of the College have played key roles in our success.  Contributions can be made also through matching gifts or sponsorship of specific Foundation projects.

The Army War College Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service code section 501 (c) (3) and 509 (a) (1).  The Army War College Foundation records all gifts into proper accounts and provides receipts to donors in an acknowledgement letter.  This letter serves as your official tax receipt.

All donations postmarked by December 31 will be receipted for that year's tax credit.

All donations are accepted as unrestricted funds unless you choose to designate your gift for any program at the Army War College.  Your gift designation should be noted on your check or in a letter accompanying the gift.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts:  Gifts may be made in memory of or in honor of an alumnus, a family member, a professor, a friend or a student.  When a memorial or honorary gift is received, the Army War College Foundation notifies the next of kin or the honoree and the gift is administered as the donor specifies.  Please provide the Army War College Foundation with the name and address of those you wish to be notified.

If you have any questions please contact our office at 717-243-1756 or E-mail us a info@usawc.org.
